Hi everybody, my name is Shari and I’ll be the new host for Mind Games Live! at Division Ale House on Tuesdays. This week each team was so much fun and they were really on a roll!
The night started out with 8 teams but we ended with a whopping 12!
And the contenders were…. I Party, Sadistic Sprites, Dr. Handsome, Team Awesome, Marital Bliss, Micaela, J Boys, Blue Velvet, Money, Lois & Clark, Psycho Doc Paul and Burton.
I Party - Also know as Uninonymous??? They tried to create an anonymous entry in which the name alone earned them 10 ghost points!
Round #1: we played ReFraze in which contestants were given a string of words from which you will need to determine their alternate meanings. Dr. Handsome, Marital Bliss and Micaela started the night off with a bang showing the other teams how it’s done… Perfect score! Team Awesome, Blue Velvet and Sadistic Sprites all scored 8 points while I Party and J Boys were focused more on being fly (and they were) both scoring 6 points.

Marital Bliss - Very good at trivia but even better at dancing!
For the Tie-Breaker the top three teams had to guess the average number of sesame seeds on a McDonald’s Big Mac Bun. All answers were very close but who knew Dr. Handsome and Marital Bliss both were dirty little birds and answered 69. So, what better way to settle a tie than to take it to the dance floor dirty dancing style (but much cleaner)? Reps from Dr. Handsome and Marital Bliss both strutted their stuff to the Dancehall Reggae version of Beyonce’s ‘Crazy in Love’. Hands-down the crowd was impressed by our sexy lady in black representing Marital Bliss so they took the crown.
Money - they were not on the Money but get an A for effort and creativity.
Round #2: Round 1 was a breeze but teams had to step their game up while playing Opposites Attract in which contestants were given two clues and they had to come up with two answers that contain words opposite of each other. Money, Lois & Clark and Psycho Doc Paul decided to join us for this round, although Psycho Doc Paul kind of checked out at the end of the round. More teams but much less confidence amongst all. The answers were slowly coming in and quickly becoming more creative! Although Micaela had a flawless first round, unfortunately she had to leave but I’m sure she would have held her own. Dr. Handsome took this round with Team Awesome a half point behind. Blue Velvet, Lois & Clark and Marital Bliss were not far behind. The other teams… well let’s just say they made up for it in Round 3!
Lois & Clark were a dynamic duo.
Blue Velvet - they are both professional photographers who are a bit camera shy but I managed to snap them with my amateur skills.
Team Awesome also won the email extra question showing us that they were still on top of things!
Team Awesome - Really team [sic ... but with more people and more intense energy.
Marital Bliss won the BBQ question brought to us by Wits and Wagers being the closest team to tell me how many dogs breed that were recognized by the American Kennel Club.
Psycho Doc Paul spent more time creating the team name than focusing on their answers.
Round #3: Finally, a game we all know and love… Family Feud. Burton (formerly team Clay) briefly joined us but he was busy handing out swag. This was a very frisky group tonight. ;-) You can only imagine what the responses looked like for the question that said Name something a man might say he doesn’t have, that would really turn a woman off. This round was really close… neck and neck… down to the wire… I mean so ridiculously close that they J Boys won by 2/10 of a point! WOW! All this and they still managed to take smoking breaks in between the questions.
J Boys just because two are brothers and their last name begins with J. They were too cool for me! 
Sadistic Sprites even created a Sprite team logo for their answer sheet trying to gain as many extra points as they could, which sadly still didn’t help their final score. 
And the winning team for the night was… with 39 points… *drum roll*……. Team Awesome!
Dr. Handsome took second place with 37.5 and Marital Bliss came in third with 36. Lois & Clark did really well on the 2nd and 3rd rounds, which makes me wonder if they would have given the other teams a run for their money had they played round 1. Very close, can you say re-match???
We tried to get Team Awesome to cork the bottle of wine they won but they weren’t having it.
