It was another exciting night of Mind Games Live! at Bar Louie Westminster this week.  We had the same great group of regulars and some newbies that came out to PLAY!!

The first round was based on Mad Gab.  Teams were challenged to come up with common phrases etc. when given only a clue of an obfuscated but phonetically close phrase.  Team Panda Smash! put up a great effort and aced the first 5 questions.  Then they decided that they had to go study for their underwater BB stacking test and ran home.  Team Sol also had a strong round but just didn’t have the constitution to last it out.  Team Hulk Sad won the round with a perfect score of 9!

Round 2 was based on a Mind Games Live! original: Categorically Speaking. Teams were given a letter and two categories and challenged to come up with answers for both categories that started with the given letter.  However, any answers duplicated by multiple teams were marked zero, so uniqueness was key!  Team Awesome Ligers jumped in halfway through the round and still managed a strong score of 7.  Team Purgatory put up their best score of the night with a 13, tying with Team Baker for 2nd place in the round.  1st place for the round went to Team Dildoveworth Brewery with a great score of 15.

Round 3 was based on a new game for us: Word Sweep.  Teams were given 3 clues and and were challenged to find the answers to all 3 given the clue that all three answers would be found consecutively in the dictionary.  Team 4-6-3 had a great round and scored 24 points!  Team Laylas weren’t too far behind with a great score of 18.  Ultimately the victor was Team Hulk Sad they put up a PERFECT score for the round at 27 points on top of which they added the email extra bonus point!  They were en fuego!

Overall the grand prize for the evening went to Team Hulk Sad who won the $25 gift card!!
