Tuesday night at The Dickens Tavern we had a bar full of eager new Mind Games Live Teams. We had a whopping 12 teams come out and 5 of them were brand new to Mind Games Live! – What a turnout! With new teams brought even more ridiculous responses, a busy bar that kept the beer flowing and blindingly obvious attempts at style points (thank you Clay Aiken). We also had the debut of Awesome Aubree; an awesome new host (if I don’t say so myself) that just joined the Mind Games Live team. Mix that all together with alcohol and witness the shenanigans!

Some of our veteran teams were 1^st Place Losers, Zipper Heads, Venus Fly Traps, Bar Boys and the one man wonder that is Bondomatic! Our new teams to join the mix are Booyah!, Fighting Chickens, NAJ, 100 Proof, Groundhogs and Hairless Kitties!

Congratulations to 1^st Place Losers for earning enough Brainy Points for a free Board Game. Way to go guys!

ROUND 1: We played Mad Gab. Everyone had a great time trying to secretly solve these riddles - we got some side-splitting responses (Scared sheep stand still?). This round was very close, ending things with a 3-way tie between; the home team Bar Boys, Venus Fly Traps and 1^st Place Losers! The tie breaker went to Venus Fly Traps! Winning the round scored them free beer! Who doesn’t love free beer?!

ROUND 2: We played Categorically Speaking. This was by far the most difficult round. Who knows a Albatross isn’t a fish, raise your hand..? We had some really creative responses for things found in a plane that start with the letter P. Some of our teams were feeling a little frisky after a glass of red wine. This round went to Booyah who won by a landslide! Winning this round scored them a free appetizer.. mmm!

ROUND 3: We played Word Sweep. This is a definition style game, pick the right answer. All of our teams were very thankful we don’t deduct for spelling.. This round was all over the place but ended up with a tie between; Fighting Chickens and Booyah. When asked how many elevators are in the Empire State Building? We got responses as low as 8 and only as high as 12, hilarious as there are 73. Way to go Booyah for being closest and taking two rounds in a row. Yeahh for more free beer.

WINNER WINNER, CHICKEN DINNER!

Congrats to Booyah who took two rounds in a row and winner for the night! They ended up with 49 points overall, free beer, a free appetizer and a $20 gift card to The Dickens Tavern. Way to go you two!
