Spring is in the air… or is that Bacon?
Mar 17th, 2010 by ShariH

We’re back another week at Division Ale House and the games and teams just keep getting better and bigger than ever! It may have something to do with the fact that it was 60 degrees here in Chicago… oh yeah!!!!! Spring is in the air. ;-)

Teams:

Where’s Jason

The Sham Wows

Bacon Gently

Mighty Mustangs + 1

77

Tiger Wood’s Caddy

Tainted Bacon

Team Where's Jason... Not like where's waldo, we actually found Jason! ;)

Team Tiger Woods Caddies... Tell Tiger we said "What's up"

Round 1: The first game of the evening was Finish Lines. First up to the plate we had teams Where’s Jason, The Sham Wows, Bacon Gently, The Mighty Mustangs + 1 and 77. All teams did very well this round. It was very close but Bacon Gently won the round. It may have had something to do with the extra style points… hmm.

Team Mighty Mustangs + 1... Reppin EMPEHI (Morgan Park High School) + Mt. Caramel

Team 77... Double Trouble but Double the Luck (Lucky 7's)

Round 2: Go Mental was the name of the second game. Joining the other teams were Tiger Woods Caddy and Tainted Bacon. All of the teams had to put their thinking caps on for this round but some people were really focused more on how much beer they could win in honor of St. Patty’s day. ;) The Sham Wows took the prize in this round.

Team Tainted Bacon... They came late but were on fire! See, bacon has it's benefits after all... but only if it's tainted!

Team Sham Wows... Watching informercials pays off... this team knew their facts, especially during Triviathon.

Round 3: Triviathon was the last game of the evening. Bacon Gently and The Sham Wows were on fire! This was a game of smarts and chance. Anyone could have taken the crown but The Sham Wows were the winners of this round.

Team Bacon Gently... it's all in how you handle the bacon. CONGRATULATIONS!

And the GRAND PRIZE WINNER was… Bacon Gently. The Sham Wows came in second place and Where’s Jason come in third. Congratulations!

Thanks for playing… come again & bring a friend!

Until next week lovelies,

They Beat The Staff!
Mar 11th, 2010 by ShariH

Finally, the weather is Chicago is nice! The snow is melting and the teams are heating up at Division Ale House!

This week on the roster we had….

Teams:

Golden Girls

Free Love

Division Ale House Staff

Bacon Experimentation

Burger Babes

Golden Girls... These ladies rocked! They had to leave prior to the last round but I'm suspecting they would have taken the crown. ;)

Round 1: During the first round we played ReFraze. Stepping up to the plate this round was Golden Girls, Free Love and the Staff. All of the teams did really well on this one but the Golden Girls really knew their tv shows, movies and phrases winning the round!

Burger Babes... Babes who love burgers! :p

Round 2: The second game of the evening was Eye Know. This was a new game for us and it was super-fun! People were really stumped on the Linux logo, which was a picture of a penguin. Teams Burger Babes and Free Love both guessed the logo was a ‘penguin’. LOL However, Bacon Experimentation actually knew the correct answer putting them closer to the prize of a round of pineapple shots. But, just as they got their mouths ready for the delicious shots, Free Love swooped in to use their email extra question point pushing them over the finish line to victory.

Bacon Experimentation... Hmm, maybe experimenting on bacon helps boost your IQ because this team was on fire!

Round 3: Chronology was the last game of the evening. Teams Free Love and Bacon Experimentation went head-to-head. We had some very smart cookies in the Division Ale House Jar this week! Winning by only one point was Bacon Experimentation.

Free Love... It's all about spreading love and sharing tator tots with this team. :) Congrats!

And the winner was… Free Love! Congratulations!

They beat the Division Ale House Staff!

*and the crowd goes willlld*

Thanks everyone for playing… come again and bring a friend!

Until next week lovelies,

Shari =)

Beat The Staff!
Mar 2nd, 2010 by ShariH

Once again it’s on at Division Ale House in Chicago! Teams joined again to take down the staff. Did they succeed? Take a journey through  Mind Games Live to find out! This week we had teams Nacho Cheese, Tire Fire, Birthanukah, Guinness and Beat the Staff.

Team Guinness... The dynamic duo!

Round 1: The first game of the evening was Urban Myth. Is it true or isn’t it? Teams learned fun facts while getting in the groove of things for the evening. Team Guinness was a one man show doing a great job and his teammate joined him during round 2. Nacho Cheese and Tire Fire were neck and neck and Birthhanukah and Beat the Staff were neck and neck. We ended up with a tie this round with Birthanukah and Beat the Staff! Team Birthanhukah had the luck of the birthday girl on their side and won the round.

Round 2: The second game of the evening was Don’t Quote Me. Team Nacho Cheese had to head out but they held their own. Team Birthhanukah and Beat the Staff both showed us their moves, dancing their way into extra points for style. The staff also did really well on this round winning over Birthanukah, but of course Birthanukah took the prize. Team Tire Fire was not too far behind though. Let’s see how this all played out.

Team Tire Fire... These guys were full of energy! I love it! :)

Round 3: The last game of the evening was Family Feud. We all are familiar with this favorite! Teams provided fun answers for this round. The scores were really close between Birthanukah, Beat the Staff and Tire Fire! But, Birthanukah pushed their way to the finish line winning the round.

Team Birthanukah... Congratulations Team! They won hot pepper shots and took them like the champs they are! ;)

And the winner was… Birthanukah! Congratulations! You guys rock! This is the place to be to celebrate a birthday. Free drinks for the entire team! Who can beat that?

Congratulations to all the teams… Thanks for playing! Come again and bring a friend!

Until next week lovelies,

Surfers, Skaters and Bacon on Ice
Feb 25th, 2010 by ShariH

Taylor held it down last week and kept the fun times going so I want to say BIG THANKS to him. But, this week I was back and full of energy to continue the greatness that can only  be had at Division Ale House! You won’t find fun like this anywhere else, trust me.

Russian Figure Skaters... I think we have some Olympics fans in the house!

Pints... Very cute team. Sometimes we had full participation and then it was a one woman (on the right) team. LOL :)

Round 1: We kicked the night off with the game Billboard 100. We had teams Pothole Surfers, Pints, Russian Figure Skaters, Bacon on Ice and The Birthday Girls.  All teams did pretty well on this round. But the Russian Figure Skaters showed us that they really know their music winning the first round.

The Birthday Girls... Happy Birthday! ;)

Bacon on Ice... This team is an oxymoron... a lot of veg-heads on the team.

Round 2: Squeeze Phrase was the name of the second game. This round was getting close so we had the Pot hole Surfers throwing in extra catchy answers for style points along with teams Bacon on Ice and singing and dancing for points. Bacon on Ice, the Birthday Girls and Pothole Surfers all did very well on this round but the Pothole Surfers slid their way to the top winning round two!

The Pothole Surfers... Their name speaks for itself... they know something we don't know! Congrats winners!

Round 3: Letter Roll was the last game of the evening. The Pints and Russian Figure Skaters had to dodge out at this point leaving us with the Pothole Surfers, Bacon on Ice and the Birthday Girls going head-to-head for the crown. This round was a game of chance and style… and the Pothole Surfers mastered the art of it by winning this round as well.

And the Grand Prize winner was… Pothole Surfers! Congratulations!

Thanks for playing everyone! Come again… bring a friend!

Until next week lovelies,

Shari =)

Happy Valentine’s Day <3
Feb 10th, 2010 by ShariH

Team Touched By Your Uncle... Disclaimer: Not a true story. ;-)

Although we got hit by a mini blizzard in Chicago, it didn’t stop the teams from coming out to take on the staff of Division Ale House… and it was well worth it! This week we had teams Lady Falconer, Mystery Bacon, The Shenanigans (a.k.a. the Staff), Ed Hardy, Team Swagger, Pimpin in Yo Mouf, and Touched by Your Uncle.

Team Ed Hardy... I'm going to say it's safe to say we have a few Ed Hardy fans here. I'm a fan too!

Round 1: Kicking off the night teammates joined brain waves to play Tribond. We started with teams Lady Falconer, Mystery Bacon, The Shenanigans and Ed Hardy. This was a close call but Lady Falconer was able to win this round.

Team Pimpin in Yo Mouf... Don't even ask. LOL

Team Swagger... Don't hurt 'em team with all that SWAG!

Round 2: During round 2 teams played Love the One You’re With, a Mind Games Live original in honor of Valentine’s Day. Joining the teams this round was Team Swagger. This round was a little more challenging for teams so we spiced it up with style points, racing and dancing. Lady Falconer not only knows how to bust a move but they won this round as well!

Team Mystery Bacon... hmmm, what's the mystery???

Round 3: For the last game of the evening teams played Fast Figure. This game allowed teams to guess the correct answer and additional points were awarded if the teams could actually list the correct ‘figure’ that corresponds with the question. Team Swagger had to leave but we gained two new competitors, teams Pimpin in Yo Mouf and Touched By Your Uncle. All teams did pretty sweet during this round but our winner was Lady Falconer. Wow! They were really on a roll.

Lady Falconer... First time in Chicago Mind Games Live history... a 3-round sweep! Way to go team!!! :)

And the grand prize winner was… Lady Falconer. Great Job!

Congratulations to all of the teams! Thanks for playing.

See ya next week… come again and bring a friend! =)

Until next week lovelies,

Shari

The Staff Reigns again?
Feb 3rd, 2010 by ShariH

A cold snowy night in Chicago but that still does not stop our faithful Mind Game Livers. What a fun night! The teams for this week were Two Square, The VIPs, The Staff, Bacontopia, and Rabbit.

Team Two Squared... We found out that they had some interesting things in their medicine cabinet! ;-)

Round 1: The evening started out slow with teams Two Square, The VIPs and The Staff. The first game of the evening was Mad Gab. All teams did really well in this round. We had a tie between the Staff and the VIPs but of course the prize went to the VIPs.

Team Rabbit... Great job guys!

Round 2: For the second round teams played Categorically Speaking. Joining the teams were Bacontopia and Rabbit. Team Rabbit gave the staff a run for their money but the Staff was on a role! I swear it was not rigged. The prize went to team Rabbit.

The VIPs... They had it out for the Staff. Congrats on the big win!!!

Round 3: The last game of the evening was WordSweep. Some teams were good spellers and some… hmmm let’s just say they weren’t the spelling bee champs of their grammar schools. Finally, we found a game that the Staff did not do so well on. The VIPs took their crown this round.

And the winner was… technically it was the Staff but The VIPs were the true winners!

Congratulations to all of the teams… come again and bring a friend!

Until next week lovelies,

Shari =)

Playoff!
Jan 29th, 2010 by ShariH

Oops… I forgot the camera this week. But trust me when I tell you all of the teams were comprised of beautiful people! ;) We had a blast!

Teams:

Lieutenant Dan

Buttered Noodles

Bacon Monument

Might Mustangs

Round 1: The first game of the evening was Hink Pink. Teams did really well during this round… so well that we had a tie! Lieutenant Dan and Bacon Monument faced-off and Lieutenant Dan won the Playoff!

Round 2: During the second round teams played Balderdash. Tons of style points were given this round. Points for the lead were ever-changing but the Might Mustangs galloped in and stole the crown.

Round 3: During the last round of the evening teams played Out of Order. Both teams Bacon Monument and the Mighty Mustangs were on fire this round. They really know their chronology. They both also had the email extra which ended up leaving this round in a tie as well. The tie-breaker was all about the McDonald’s Big Mac and I tell you Bacon Monument knows a lot about that! They won the 3rd round.

And the winner was…Bacon Monument! Buttered Noodles came in second place so Bacon Monument graciously shared their prizes with the other team. Very nice!

Congratulations to all teams! Come again and bring a friend! =)

Until next week lovelies,

Shari

Really, Really? They went neck and neck with the Chefs... brave!

Really, Really? They went neck and neck with the Chefs... brave!

We started off slow but ended the night with a bang! The teams were Really Really, Russell, Soul of Bacon, Hi, Jack, Chefs, Ashley & Scott (The Staff of Division Ale House) and Can’t See Straight.

Round 1: The first game of the night was Catch My Drift and it was all about learning slang… or at least I learned new meanings of a few things. Team Jack thought this game was way too easy for them so they bailed on us.  :( But we had a tie between The Staff and Really, Really. The Chefs really knew their stuff so they won but we gave the prize to Really, Really anyway. :)

Round 2: The second game of the night was Garage Band. Although team Jack bailed, we gained a new team… Can’t See Straight. The couldn’t see but they had their game faces on! Once again The Staff gained the most points but Can’t See Straight took the prize for coming in second. I promise it wasn’t rigged. LOL The Staff knows their stuff! We picked a great venue to host Mind Games Live! Division Ale House is the spot to be on Tuesday nights! Whoo-hoo!

Round 3: The final game of the evening was Making the List. This round was a little tough for all the teams. A true game of chance. But team Hi stopped the winning streak of The Staff and took the round! Go girls!

Hi... The Grand Prize Winners! Yay!

Hi... The Grand Prize Winners! Yay!

And the winner was…Yes, you guessed it… THE STAFF! But we gave the bottle of wine to the runners up team Hi.

Congratulations teams! =)

Until next week lovelies…Come again, bring a friend!

LovMari... Short for Lovely & Marie. Two lovely ladies.

Round 2: Go Mental was the name of the second game and the teams were ready to take down Ali Baba. We also had the Diva’s and Gator join us this round, but the Curly Fries had to leave. Ali Baba & The 40 Thieves were on fire! They won this round as well.

Ali Baba & The 40 Thieves... Congrats on a great night team! :)

Ali Baba & The 40 Thieves... Congrats on a great night team! :)

Round 3: Start 2 Finish was the last game of the evening. Of course we had to shake things up a bit with a little singing and dancing for extra ‘style’ points. Teams VIP (the Diva’s and Gator combined to increase their chances of winning) and Ali Baba & The 40 Thieves even had a dance contest but our very own Beyonce from team Ali Baba showed us how it’s really done winning the extra points and their team took the round.

And the winner wasAli Baba & The 40 Thieves!

Congratulations to all of the teams. You all have to come back to steal the crown.

Until next week lovelies… ;-)

It’s all about pork and hotness…
Dec 30th, 2009 by ShariH

This week’s teams were neck and neck. We had Pork Master Generals (PMG), Rutabagas, Magic Bacon Dust, The Hotties, Hot Christian Singles (HCS), Bonecrushers, Supa Dupa and Black on deck.

Bonecrushers... crushed the competition during round 2. Great job! :)

Supa Dupa... Don't they look super! They played Supa Dupa.

Supa Dupa... Don't they look super! They played Supa Dupa.

Round 1: For the first round we played 2nd Guess in which each clue had something to do with the number 2. We had a tie between Magic Bacon Dust and Supa Dupa. These teams were too smart for they playoff. They both guessed the answer to the first question but Supa Dupa won the playoff.

Round 2: During the second round we played Origins of Expression. Teams had to guess the origins of well-known expressions. This was also a close round even with two teams cashing in their email extra point. The Bonecrushers won this round.

Pork Master Generals (PMG)... There's a story behind the name... something like what happens in Vegas... Well you know the rest!

Rutabagas... Too busy thinking about food.

Round 3: For the last round we played Chronology. Teams had to guess what year certain events occurred. The Hotties were definitely hot this round easily taking the lead.

Hot Christian Singles (HCS)... They were about 8 people deep but too Hot, Christian and Single for the picture. ;)
